The Osprey Knife & Tool Warthog is another Osprey knife that has been around a while. Christopher Linton designed this knife early in his knifemaking career to serve as a compact EDC (Every Day Carry) knife. It actually started out in two variations, the Warthog EDC and the Warthog Hunter. The Hunter was drop point intended more for hunting and bushcrafting purposes, but was later redesigned while the Warthog EDC became to be simply known as the Warthog.  This current evolution of the Warthog removed the guard and slightly increased the tallness of the blade. We think it makes for a more attractive and useful knife. It has been some time since we have seen a Warthog with a guard, so you know the guardless variation is a popular choice.
